55The Ministry of Defence has announced that the construction of new houses for families whose homes were destroyed due to cycl will commence this week.
Additional Secretary to the Ministry, K.G. Dharmathilaka, says that all necessary instructions regarding the process have already been issued.
Additional Secretary noted that 92% of the Rs. 25,000 allowance disbursed for the cleaning of houses affected by disasters has already been paid to the victims.
