58Dharmasoka College opening batsman Chandupa Kavisha shattered a 22-year old record during the 57th Battle of the Blues Inter-School Big Match against traditional rivals Sri Devananda College, which ended in a draw at the UC Grounds in Ambalangoda.
Kavisha hit a splendid 205 from 192 balls with 11 sixes and 14 boundaries and went on to better the previous highest individual score of 169 made by former Dharmasoka and Sri Lanka opening batsman Upul Tharanga in the 2004 Big Match. Kavisha also put on 193 for the fifth wicket with Omega Karunarathna, which was the highest ever partnership for any wicket in the Big Match series.
