Millennium IT ESP Secures Rs. 2.2 Bn Oracle Exadata XIIM Project for Sri Lanka Customs

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the awarding of a contract to Millennium IT ESP (Private) Limited to supply and install an Oracle Exadata X11M system and its related software for Sri Lanka Customs.

The approval was granted based on a proposal submitted by President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

Cabinet had previously granted approval at its meeting held on 21 August 2024 to initiate the procurement process to select a suitable agency to supply the Oracle Exadata X11M system and the associated software for Sri Lanka Customs.

Accordingly, bids were invited under the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) methodology, and three bids were received.

Following the technical evaluation process, only one bidder was deemed eligible under the technological requirements. After evaluating the financial proposal of the technically qualified bidder, the Cabinet of Ministers approved awarding the contract to Millennium IT ESP (Private) Limited.

The procurement, valued at Rs. 2,197.96 million, will be implemented for a period of eight years, based on the recommendations of the Higher Level Procurement Committee.
