Sunshine Holdings recently donated Watawala Tea valued at Rs. 2 million to the Sri Lanka Police. The donation is a part of a series of initiatives by the Group to support the country’s ongoing efforts to combat COVID-19.
The donation was handed over by the Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Consumer Lanka Surith Perera and the Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Tea Sanjeewa Saranapala to the Inspector General of Police Chandana Wickramaratne and Senior Deputy Inspector General Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon. The donation took place with strict compliance to health and safety regulations imposed by the Ministry of Health.

This donation of Watawala Tea, which is Sri Lanka’s leading tea brand, is therefore a token of our deep appreciation of their hard work hard being carried out throughout this tough period,” said Sunshine Holdings Group Managing Director Vish Govindasamy.

Additionally, we assisted the needy in deep rural areas across the nation as well as members of the tri forces,” said Sunshine Consumer Lanka Chief Executive Officer Surith Perera.
