Starting the leisure sector with a positive sentiment, tourism arrivals were expected to touch the 200,000 mark in January 2024. From January 1 to 28 arrivals stood at 189, 574. In January 2023 this was at 102,545.
After nearly six months India with 31,920 (17%) overtook the Russian number of arrivals (28,159) to be ranked as the top source destination while the United Kingdom (15,252) and Germany 912,340) were at the third and fourth places. China also showed signs of recovery moving up to the fifth place with 10,187 arrivals
