SLIIT was founded in 1999 and is a Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission (UGC) approved institute that stands today as a symbol of excellence in private tertiary education. The SLIIT's Business School provides a solid foundation in Business Management aliged to areas such as Business Management, Human Capital Management, Marketing Management, Accounting & Finance, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems and Quality Management. Offering a variety of engineering disciplines, the Faculty of Engineering provides programs in Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) and Quantity Surveying. Focussed on creating visionary architects, the SLIIT School Architecture offers the BSc (Hons) degree in Architecture in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University, UK.
