South Fest 5.0, organized by AIESEC in University of Ruhuna, was successfully held on 9th May 2026 at The South Beach as a vibrant celebration of Sri Lankan culture and the spirit of Awurudu. The event brought together undergraduates, volunteers, and young leaders for a memorable day filled with traditional games, music, dance, and cultural activities that promoted unity, friendship, and cultural appreciation.
South Fest 5.0 served as a platform for cultural exchange and youth engagement, creating meaningful connections among participants while celebrating the rich traditions of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. The enthusiasm and active participation of the delegates added energy and excitement throughout the event, making it a joyful and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
The success of the event was made possible through the dedication and hard work of the Organizing Committee of AIESEC in University of Ruhuna. Since receiving their positions in March, the committee members worked with passion, teamwork, and commitment to ensure the smooth execution of every aspect of the festival.
South Fest 5.0 once again highlighted the power of youth in preserving traditions, strengthening friendships, and creating lasting memories through celebration and unity.
