MiHCM launches MiHCM Consulting to deliver end-to-end HR transformation

Global HR technology provider MiHCM stepped into 2026 by announcing a new era for the

group, with the launch of MiHCM Consulting – a new consulting practice within the MiHCM

Group designed to deliver end-to-end HR transformation, change management, and advisory

services for organisations across South Asia and Southeast Asia, aligning organisations towards the future of work.

MiHCM Consulting expands MiHCM’s regional footprint beyond technology into strategic advisory and execution and positions MiHCM as a regional HR transformation leader, combining deep HR expertise with digital HR, Work Tech, analytics, AI-driven insights and AI agents. Commenting on the launch of the new business unit, MiHCM Group CEO Harsha Purasinghe

Cumaratunga heads MiHCM Consulting South Asia, while Bakhtiar is MiHCM Consulting’s

Regional General Manager for Asia.

Cumaratunga is a seasoned strategic HR professional with close to three decades of experience. An HR practitioner with a strong business focus and proven capability to strategise and deliver HR projects to meet business goals, she has functioned in many senior roles and is a dynamic thinker and leader who consistently harnesses world-class exposure in HR business partnering Internal – CEO Office to shape teams and achieve corporate goals across teams, companies, domains, and generations.

Cumaratunga has worked at top corporates in Sri Lanka during her stellar career, including John Keells, Virtusa, Millennium IT Software/LSGEG Technology, and Senok Group of Companies, where she was Director – HR prior to joining MiHCM Consulting.

With over three decades of experience, Bakhtiar has led human capital teams and developed

people strategies across various industries, including Oil and Gas, Insurance, Information

Technology, Offshore Construction, Shared Services, and food industries.

In his last role, he was HR and Culture Head at MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad – a leading sugar producer in Malaysia. A performance-driven, hands-on professional law graduate turned strategic people architect, Bakhtiar excels in translating business objectives into tactical human

resources plans and driving performance while building a culture of excellence.

Commenting on the launch of MiHCM Consulting, Cumaratunga said: “Organisations today are
