From stadiums to streets

  • HUTCH engages cricket fans island-wide

In the lead-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, HUTCH Sri Lanka has launched a nationwide initiative aimed at engaging communities across the country through cricket-related activities.

The campaign, centred on inviting the public to share messages of support for the national team, is being carried out in partnership with Supreme Global Holdings, which serves as the strategic media and activation partner.

A central feature of the initiative is a 25-foot cricket bat, described as the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka, bearing the signature of former national captain Kumar Sangakkara. Members of the public are invited to add their signatures and messages alongside his during the tour.

The HUTCH wishing truck is scheduled to visit more than 40 cities and towns across Sri Lanka during the group stage of the tournament, collecting messages from fans. Both local residents and visiting supporters are encouraged to participate as the activation moves across different regions.

The travelling initiative also includes interactive games and on-site rewards at each stop, providing structured engagement opportunities for attendees. According to the organisers, the programme is designed to combine community participation with cricket-related experiences.

Through this campaign, HUTCH Sri Lanka aims to engage cricket supporters nationwide while marking Sri Lanka’s participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and encouraging public involvement during the tournament period.
