CanCham sets up office in Colombo

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham) opened an office in Horton Place, Colombo 7 recently.

The chamber will serve as the regional office coordinating economic activities, primarily South Asia (SAARC countries) and other regional economic block to foster economic cooperation and provide a platform to explore business and investment opportunities.

High Commissioner for Canada in Sri Lanka, Isabelle Martin, the patron of CanCham Sri Lanka was the chief guest and Director General South Asia, Global Affairs, Ottawa, Canada, Jean Christian Brilliant was the guest of honour.

Senior trade commissioner of the Canadian High Commission and senior representatives of the BOI, EDB and business leaders from prominent corporate sectors were present.
