Adhitya Ayurveda, one
of Sri Lanka's leading holistic healing organisations, has taken its latest
step in its international journey through a wellness knowledge-sharing program
conducted in South Korea in collaboration with Shriveda Ayurveda Korea.
The informative session was led by Dr. Kasun Gunawardhana, who shared the
principles of authentic Sri Lankan Ayurveda and its relevance in addressing the
health challenges of modern lifestyles. The presentation focused on several key
areas including Ayurvedic detoxification, preventive wellness, digestive
health, Panchakarma therapies, pulse diagnosis, and practical daily routines
that support long-term physical and mental wellbeing.
Drawing upon centuries of traditional wisdom, Dr. Gunawardhana highlighted how
Ayurveda views health not merely as the absence of disease, but as a harmonious
balance between body, mind, and soul. Participants were introduced to the
concept of "Ama" (toxin accumulation), the importance of digestive
strength, and simple yet effective lifestyle practices that can help restore
balance in today's demanding world. The event also showcased the unique value
of Sri Lankan Ayurvedic traditions, including the use of medicinal herbs,
natural ingredients, and personalized healing approaches that have been
preserved and practiced for generations. Through engaging discussions and
knowledge exchange, participants gained a deeper understanding of how
traditional healing systems can complement modern wellness goals.
This collaboration between Adhitya Ayurveda and Shriveda Ayurveda Korea
represents a shared vision of making authentic Ayurvedic knowledge accessible
to a wider international audience while building meaningful bridges between
cultures through health and wellness.
Sharing his thoughts on Ayurveda, Dr. Kasun stated, “Ayurveda views health not
merely as the absence of disease, but as a harmonious balance between the body,
mind, and your soul. Its timeless principles remain highly relevant in today’s
fast-paced world, encouraging individuals to achieve optimal wellbeing through
mindfulness, proper nutrition, and a deeper connection with nature. As Adhitya
Ayurveda continues to expand its global presence, initiatives such as these
reinforce our commitment to preserving Sri Lanka’s rich Ayurvedic heritage and
inspiring healthier communities around the world.”
He added, “We extend our sincere appreciation to Shriveda Ayurveda Korea, all
participants, and our wellness partners for their support and enthusiasm.
Together, we are creating new opportunities to share the timeless wisdom of
Ayurveda beyond borders and contribute to a healthier future for global
communities.”
