Sri Lankan start-ups complete capacity-building programme in India

A 25-member delegation from the Sri Lanka Association for Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) participated in a 45-day training and capacity-building programme at IIT Madras Parvartak, Chennai, from February 2 to March 13, 2026.

The programme, organised by the Government of India, covered entrepreneurial frameworks, financial tools, AI applications, investor-ready pitch preparation, and leadership skills for start-ups.

It was part of India’s commitment, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April 2025, to offer 700 customised training slots annually for Sri Lankan professionals, strengthening bilateral innovation and business cooperation.
