A Sri Lankan delegation led by CBSL Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe engaged with the international investor community in Washington, D.C.
The visit is taking place alongside the IMF–World Bank Spring Meetings 2026.
The delegation participated in investor engagements organised by J.P. Morgan, Jefferies Emerging Markets Team and HSBC, and attended a meeting with U.S. Government officials and private sector representatives hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Weerasinghe provided updates on macroeconomic conditions and addressed investor queries, the CBSL stated.
The U.S.–Sri Lanka Commercial Working Group was also soft-launched to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties, the CBSL noted.
