Omith and Andrea excel for C.C.C. in Malaysia

Omith Ratnayake (Nalanda College) and Andre Wijeratne (Royal College), two outstanding cricketers from “C.C.C. School of Cricket” who were invited to represent the State of Sarawak in Malaysia had fared well to help them to win the Runner-up Trophy, in the recently concluded Malaysian Inter State National Premier Tournament 2025.

Ratnayake as the opening batsman performed brilliantly to score two half tons in three matches, with a top score of 96 in the final, while Wijeratne as the opening speedster bowled economically well to grab 3 vital wickets in the semifinal.

Both these youngsters impressed the Malaysian state selectors, where they were also invited to represent Sarawak State in the T/20 tournament held in Borneo.

The duo once again helped Sarawak State to win the Championship with their all-round performances.

Malaysian State, Sarawak, in recognition of the two players has invited them to represent them this year too.
