NDB Wealth Management Limited has announced a series of senior management promotions, reinforcing its leadership bench as the firm continues to scale its operations and deepen its presence across Sri Lanka’s evolving asset management landscape.
The appointments come as NDB Wealth, the country’s largest asset manager with over LKR 340 billion in assets under management, positions itself to meet rising demand for disciplined, research-led investment solutions across retail, high-net-worth, and institutional client segments.

Among the key appointments, Priyal Mendis has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer, recognising his contribution to strengthening operational efficiency and supporting strategic execution. With over 18 years of experience across NDB Wealth and the broader capital markets ecosystem, he brings expertise spanning investment operations, unit trust management, portfolio systems, financial instruments, risk management, and business strategy. He holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and a First Class BSc in Accounting from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He has also completed executive education at the Indian School of Business.
Daham Hettiarachchi has been appointed Chief Investment Officer, reflecting his leadership in investment management and portfolio strategy. With more than 17 years of experience in investment management and equity research, he brings strong capabilities in capital markets, asset allocation, and macro-driven investment analysis. A CFA Charterholder, he also holds ACMA and CGMA qualifications. His previous roles at Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Softlogic Asset Management, JB Financial, National Asset Management, and JB Securities have strengthened his expertise across fixed income, equities, valuation, and fund management. He has also contributed to industry development as a mentor for the CFA Institute Research Challenge in Sri Lanka.
Amaya Nagodavithane has been promoted to Senior Vice President in recognition of her consistent track record in delivering strong risk-adjusted returns. With over 15 years at NDB Wealth, she has led large-scale portfolio management across asset classes, including managing the NDB Wealth Money Fund, the country’s largest unit trust. She currently represents the firm at the Unit Trust Association of Sri Lanka. She holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Colombo, where she was awarded the Investment Management Gold Medal, along with a First Class degree in Finance. Her expertise spans strategic asset allocation, macro positioning, and investment advisory.
Amali Pathirana has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, reflecting her long-standing contribution to the organisation and deep institutional knowledge built over nearly two decades. With over 17 years at NDB Wealth, supported by early career experience at Ernst & Young and People’s Bank, she brings strong expertise in operational and financial management. She holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and is a Certified Business Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. She is currently completing her final level qualifications.
