82Sri Lanka plans to digitize all vehicle insurance documents under the ongoing digital insurance card initiative, according to the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka.
Chairman of the General Insurance Forum Dinusha Thilanka stated that physical insurance cards will eventually be discontinued and replaced with digital versions accessible via mobile phones, web platforms and QR codes.
He further noted that insurance details can be verified 24 hours a day through the dedicated 1338 hotline using USSD, SMS and IVR services.
