The Ministry of Education (MOE) has issued a new directive instructing schools to exercise financial prudence when organising festivals and celebrations, amid concerns over high spending that could burden parents.
Despite previous guidance, some schools continue to spend excessively on these events.
The Ministry emphasized that all programs should be conducted cost-effectively without compromising quality, in strict adherence to Circular 54/2023 and other financial regulations.
The goal is to maintain educational and cultural values while ensuring transparency and preventing financial strain on families.
