CIC Awarded Rs. 639.5 Mn Contract to Supply Nanocrystal Silver Dressings

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the awarding of a procurement contract to CIC Holdings PLC for the supply of 20,000 nanocrystal silver dressings, each measuring 20 cm x 40 cm, used in wound treatment and management.

The international competitive bidding process saw only one submission, with CIC Holdings PLC, representing Smith & Nephew Medical Limited of the United Kingdom, emerging as the sole substantially responsive bidder.

The contract, valued at Rs. 639.5 million (excluding Value Added Tax), was awarded on the recommendation of the Higher Level Standing Procurement Committee, following a proposal presented by the Minister of Health and Mass Media.

Nanocrystal silver dressings are widely used in clinical settings for their antimicrobial properties, playing a vital role in wound care management.
