64The Welfare Benefits Board has announced that the April allowance under the Aswesuma scheme is being credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts today (22).
A total of Rs. 3.08 billion is being distributed to 617,406 senior citizens over 70 under the first phase.
An additional Rs. 360.6 million is being credited to 72,525 beneficiaries in the same age group under the second phase, the Board stated.
