Almas Holdings Ltd. has made a financial contribution of Rs. 100 million to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to provide relief to communities affected by the Ditwah cyclone.
The cheque was handed over at the Presidential Secretariat by Almas Holdings Chairman Imtiaz Buhardeen to Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake. The company has pledged an additional Rs. 150 million.
During the meeting, Buhardeen expressed the company’s commitment to extend further support for flood relief and reconstruction initiatives in the Kandy District.
Also present on the occasion were Almas Equities Managing Director Shameer Buhardeen, Directors Risvi Abdul Majeed and Ruzly Shamsudeen, Almas Equities CEO Ifadh Marikar and Almas Holdings Strategic Development Advisor of Takshila Hulangamuwa.
