With unbeaten double triumph : Seylan hockey team makes history

Seylan Bank’s hockey team has secured two unbeaten championship victories in 2026, winning the JXG MHA 9-A-Side Hockey Tournament and the A Division title of the Mercantile Hockey League.

The team won the Mercantile Hockey 9-A-Side Tournament 2026 for the first time in the Bank’s history, with Sandaruwan Madhushanka named Best Player of the Tournament.

Earlier this year, Seylan Bank was crowned unbeaten A Division Champions of the Mercantile Hockey League 2026, marking the Bank’s first-ever A Division League championship.

The achievements reflect the commitment, discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit of the Bank’s employees, highlighting the team’s consistency across different formats of the sport.
