Sri Lanka’s apparel export earnings fell 7.4% in August 2026 compared to the same month last year, according to Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) data.

Earnings declined from USD 469.6 million in August 2025 to USD 434.8 million in August 2026.

For January-August 2026, apparel export earnings stood at USD 3,108.3 million, down 6.3% from the corresponding period in 2025.
