Sri Lanka rupee weaker to US dollar spot, bond yields steady

Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 336.00/338.00 to the US dollar in the spot market on Friday, weaker from 336.90/337.50 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields were somewhat steady.

The telegraphic transfer rate for Sri Lanka’s rupee against the US dollar was 332.50 buying, 341.50 selling; euro was 383.7459 selling, 397.6629 buying; and the pound 445.3974 buying 459.4430 selling.

A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 11.85/12.00 percent. 

A bond maturing on 01.08.2030 was quoted at 12.25/35 percent, down from 12.25/40 percent.


A bond maturing on 15.03.2035 was quoted flat at 13.20/30 percent, from 13.15/25 percent.

On the Colombo Stock Exchange, the All share Price Index opened up 0.20 percent, or 44.13 points, at 21,804; while the S$P SL20 opened up 0.31 percent, or 18.53 points, at 6,050.
