Sri Lanka rupee weaker, bond yields broadly steady

Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 310.70/85 to the US dollar in the spot market Thursday, weaker from 310.30/60 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields were broadly steady.

  • A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at at 9.00/07 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 15.12.2028 was quoted at at 9.20/25 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 15.06.2029 was quoted at at 9.45/50 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 was quoted at at 9.58/62 percent, up from 9.57/60 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 01.03.2030 was quoted at at 9.63/67 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 01.10.2032 was quoted at at 10.22/30 percent, up from 10.20/25 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 01.06.2033 was quoted at at 10.50/55 percent, up from 10.45/52 percent.

The telegraphic transfer rates for the American dollar were 307.0000 buying, 314.0000 selling; the British pound was 409.4823 buying, and 420.7857 selling, and the euro was 354.7399 buying, 366.1593 selling.

On the Colombo Stock Exchange, the All Share Price Index was up 1.05 percent, or 236.97 points, at 22,814.22; and the S&P SL20 was up 0.90 percent, or 57.23 points, at 6,412.62.
