Sri Lanka pledges support for peace in Middle East

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that Sri Lanka will extend fullest support to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East.

He made the remarks during a meeting with the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Colombo.

The President noted that Sri Lanka supports peace efforts within the framework of international law.

He also expressed concern over attacks on countries not directly involved in the conflict.

The President further noted the importance of Middle Eastern countries for employment, energy supply, and tourism, and acknowledged their support.
