Sri Lanka has extended the submission deadline for Requests for Information (RFI) for the development of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia projects in the country, it’s Board of Investment said.
The new closing date is now June 19, 1500 hrs (SL Time). It was previously June 5.
“We have extended the submission deadline for the Request for Information (RFI) on the development of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia projects in Sri Lanka,” the BoI said.
Eligible projects may benefit from BoI facilitation, including fiscal incentives, infrastructure support, and regulatory facilitation, it added.
The RFI invites qualified local and international investors, developers, and operators to submit project concepts for green hydrogen/ammonia manufacturing; export terminals and storage facilities’ and green hydrogen component manufacturing.
Sri Lanka has set targets of generating 70 percent of its electricity through renewable forms by 2030, and achieving carbon neutrality in power generation by 2050.
