Royal, S. Thomas’ set to renew their rivalry

Royal College will look to retain the Mustangs Trophy when they face traditional rivals S. Thomas’ College in the 49th annual inter-school limited overs cricket encounter on March 28 at the SSC Grounds in Maitland Place.

Royal are the current holders of the Mustangs Troaphy after they triumphed by four wickets in last year’s encounter played at the same venue and they also lead the series 24-22.

However, the Thomians had a successful outing in the drawn 147th Big Match last week and the cynosure of all eyes will be on prolific run-getter Jaden Amaraweera, who reached the 1,000-run milestone in the game against Lumbini College, a couple of days ago.
