With September 2026 about to take its final bow, the Green Day song ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’ is about to have its annual moment. And this got us thinking – many of our favourite artists often explore time through songs. Whether it be our favourite Christmas songs or pop music, times of the year or more specifically months have often been referenced and remembered.

“Whenever I think of months being represented in songs, I think of the Christmas songs that play every time December comes around,” Amaya De Silva, 27, told The Daily Morning Brunch. “But there are several other songs that reference months too and I think that’s pretty cool.”
