Prime Group takes the lead in youth development by becoming the official real estate partner for the Blue Battle and the Red Battle

With a 30-year heritage in the real estate sector in Sri Lanka, Prime Group has always been a company that plays a prominent role in the welfare of society and the youth. As a further step in this endeavor, the Group is the official real estate partner of two of the country’s leading annual inter-school cricket matches. Accordingly, the 147th ‘Battle of the Blues’ between Royal College, Colombo and St. Thomas’s College and the 96th ‘Battle of the Maroons’ between Ananda College, Colombo and Nalanda College.

The annual cricket clash between Royal College and St. Thomas’s College has a colorful history of almost a century and a half. The Blue Clash, which intensifies the camaraderie and competitiveness of the game through the glory of a long heritage, can be described as a cultural event that goes beyond just a sporting match.

Prime Group is proud to be the official real estate partner of such a unique event. This is a unique partnership that is fueled by a shared vision of determination, strength and long-term success.

Just as the Nil Maha Battle, Sri Lanka’s most prestigious and historic annual school cricket clash, has shaped the characters of young people for generations, Prime Group is building heartfelt living spaces that will leave lasting memories for communities over time.

The Ananda Nalanda Sulohita Battle or ‘Battle of the Maroons’ is also a cricket clash with a long history. It began in 1924 and has been the home of many cricket stars that Sri Lanka has produced. Since then, a large number of the players who have participated in this cricket clash have represented the country’s leading sports clubs and the national cricket team.

Prime Group is delighted to be the official real estate partner of the 96th edition of the Sulohita Sangrama, which has produced many notable personalities including sportspersons, leaders, professionals and others over the decades.

Both these partnerships clearly reflect the focus of Pime Group on youth development and community engagement. A large number of people, including students and alumni of four renowned schools in Sri Lanka, will be watching these two grand cricket clashes, where the best cricketers from these schools will take to the field. Sponsoring these two cricket clashes is another important step in Prime Group’s efforts to build closer relationships with notable individuals and teams in the country, while contributing to the betterment of the country’s future.

“The support that sports have given to the culture, values and ideals of our country is no small feat. Prime Group can be called a reflection of that excellence. That excellence is reflected in every project we implement. That is why we have come forward to sponsor these two unique cricket clashes,” said Ruminda Randeniya, CEO/Executive Director of Prime Lands (Pvt.) Ltd.

Prime Group extends its warmest congratulations to the schools that will soon be entering the field of competition: Royal College, St. Thomas’ College, Ananda College and Nalanda College. Regardless of who wins, the role these competitions play in developing the character of the country's future generations through sportsmanship is immense.
