Navy women clinch SLR 7s for 8th time

The Sri Lanka Navy Women’s Rugby team delivered a master class in skill to be crowned as the overall champions of the Sri Lanka Rugby 7s Women’s Tournament 2026.

Organised by Sri Lanka Rugby, this high-octane tournament unfolded across two intense phases of competition in Colombo.

The opening leg took place on 21 and 22 March at the CR and FC Grounds, followed by the decisive second leg held on 28 and 29 March at the Racecourse Grounds, Colombo.

The Navy’s path to glory was paved with significant victories, where they secured a dominant 22-07 win against the Air Force women’s team and followed it up with a 15-10 triumph over the Army women’s side.
