Navy clinch maiden win, beat Siri Lions

Super Round fixtures out

The two winless teams in the Inter Club Rugby League clashed on Sunday (25) in the last game of Round-1 where visitors Navy Sports Club got the better of hosts Siri Lions 25-20 in a crunch game played at Longden Place. This result meant the Lions bidding adieu to the league finishing at rock bottom (9th place). The top four will be vying for the cup and the bottom four for the plate championship in the upcoming super round.

Siri Lions took a slender 10-07 lead at halftime making the game interesting to battle out in the second essay. Navy was determined to get their first win of the season ever since their outstanding performance on the very first game of the season against Havelocks in 31-31 draw finally got the much needed mental break though after multiple heartbreaks.
