Sri Lanka’s stock market recorded a modest gain on Wednesday (25), with both key indices closing higher amid moderate trading activity at the Colombo Stock Exchange.
The All Share Price Index (ASPI) rose by 12.48 points to close at 23,703.10, while the S&P SL20 Index gained 4.15 points to end at 6,685.27 at the close of trading.
Total market turnover reached Rs. 4.02 billion for the session.
Domestic participation dominated trading, with local purchases amounting to Rs. 3.97 billion and local sales at Rs. 3.90 billion. Foreign investor participation remained subdued, with foreign purchases recorded at Rs. 48 million and foreign sales at Rs. 114 million, resulting in a net foreign outflow.
