FLiCo has become the first service provider in Sri Lanka to launch a structured, islandwide free service initiative to support households affected by recent flooding, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare during times of national need.
In the aftermath of floods that disrupted the lives of thousands of families across the country, FLiCo rolled out a comprehensive free service campaign aimed at helping households safely restore essential electrical and electronic appliances. Under the initiative, FLiCo service teams inspected, cleaned and repaired hundreds of flood-affected appliances, while conducting multiple free service clinics across several districts to extend technical assistance to impacted communities.
Deputy General Manager of FLiCo, Sagara Sathyapala, said the campaign was driven by a strong sense of responsibility towards communities affected by natural disasters.
“Our role extends beyond business continuity. When communities are affected, it is our responsibility to step forward with practical solutions that help families regain stability in their daily lives,” he said.
Head of Operations Mohamed Shulhi noted that delivering the campaign required rapid coordination and close teamwork. “Providing free services at this scale involved careful planning and strong collaboration across our teams to ensure timely and safe assistance for affected households,” he said.
As an authorised service provider for electronics, electrical appliances, CCTV systems and leading brands, FLiCo ensured uninterrupted after-sales support for all FLiCo and KONKA imported products. Free professional consultation was provided at every stage, including pre-activation guidance, repair and post-service advice, reinforcing customer safety and confidence.
