Kelum Lakmal Dissanayake of Miracle Pet Care honoured as Most Outstanding Pet Groomer

Kelum Lakmal Dissanayake, the founder of Miracle Pet Care in Pannipitiya, was honoured as the Most Outstanding Pet Groomer in Sri Lanka at the Global Business Excellence Awards 2025. The award ceremony was held recently at the BMICH in Colombo. He has been grooming animals for more than ten years and holds a UK CPD IAP certification in professional pet grooming. His salon has become a well-known destination for pet owners seeking safe and friendly care for their dogs and cats.

The grooming services provided at Miracle Pet Care include hair trimming, ear cleaning, nail clipping, bathing, deodorising, and treatments for skin conditions. Specially formulated shampoos are used for gentle bathing, and all procedures are carried out using modern equipment and high-quality products. Treatments are also available for dogs and cats affected by ticks, fleas, and mites. The team focuses on the needs of both animals and their owners, ensuring each pet is treated with patience and care. Dissanayake is preparing to open a training school dedicated to pet grooming, offering structured education for aspiring groomers. Another project in the pipeline is a spa-style treatment centre that combines grooming with therapies designed to help pets relax. In addition to the grooming centre, Miracle Pet Care operates a boarding facility for owners who travel or go on holiday. Pets staying there receive three meals a day, regular baths, and close supervision to ensure their safety and comfort. The team provides care that feels close to a family environment. The business also runs a pet shop in Kottawa, supplying dog and cat food, shampoos, and vitamins. This allows Miracle Pet Care to support pet owners beyond grooming and boarding.
