A Japanese delegation of the members of ICOSA (International Cooperation Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises in Asia) along with its Director General Masufumi Sato and Yasuhisa Hirohama, Chairman of CHO - DO – KYO (SME Association of Japan, having over 50,000 SMEs in membership) arrived in Sri Lanka on 15 February on the invitation of JASTECA (Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association).
The purpose of their visit was to share the best practices of SMEs in Japan such as “Management that Respect the People” and to study the business conditions and investment opportunities for Japanese SMEs in Sri Lanka
On 16 February they engaged in an interactive discussion with Japan Sri Lanka Business Council of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on investment opportunities in Sri Lanka for Large and SME Japanese investors.
