INS Sunayna, deployed as Indian Ocean Ship (IOS) Sagar with a multinational crew from 16 countries, is scheduled to arrive in Colombo tomorrow(15) during the second edition of the deployment.
The vessel departed Mumbai on 2 April following joint harbour training involving naval personnel from countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and South Africa.
During the Colombo port call, the Commanding Officer is expected to meet senior Sri Lanka Navy officials, while the multinational crew will take part in professional and sports interactions with the Sri Lanka Navy.
The deployment is aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation and regional security engagement in the Indian Ocean region.
