  • Advancing fitness solutions in Sri Lanka

GS Sports, part of George Steuart Health, marked its fifth anniversary with a commemorative event held on 29 April at its flagship showroom in Colombo 3.

Established in 2021 under the George Steuart Group, GS Sports provides fitness equipment and system solutions for home fitness spaces, commercial gymnasiums, corporate offices, residential developments and fitness centres.

The company has expanded its operations through projects across both the public and private sectors, including institutional and large-scale fitness installations.

GS Sports partners with international fitness brands including Yanre Fitness, BH Fitness, Finlo and Gymin to introduce fitness technology and equipment to the Sri Lankan market.

The company currently operates flagship showrooms in Colombo 3 and Madiwela.

George Steuart Health Executive Director Sanjiva Wijesekera said: “Over the past five years, GS Sports has built a strong foundation within Sri Lanka’s evolving fitness landscape. Our focus has been on developing capability, introducing global standards, and enabling access to high-quality fitness infrastructure across segments. As we move forward, we remain committed to strengthening this ecosystem and contributing to a culture that values health, performance, and long-term wellbeing.”

GS Sports also builds on George Steuart Health’s involvement in sports-related healthcare, including the development of gymnasium facilities within sports medicine units at major hospitals.

The company stated that it will continue supporting the country’s growing fitness sector through infrastructure and technical expertise across multiple industries.
