FSP raises concern over unusual release of Victoria Reservoir water

The Frontline Socialist Party(FSP) has alleged that water from the Victoria Reservoir is being released unusually for electricity generation.

FSP Propaganda Secretary Duminda Nagamuwa stated that the move was linked to reduced power generation at the Norochcholai plant.

He noted that declining reservoir levels could impact drinking water supply to areas including Kandy, Kundasale and Digana.

Nagamuwa also stated that thousands of water supply connections have been affected, with limited daily distribution.
