67Sri Lanka’s annual expressway maintenance cost totals Rs. 5,180.90mn, Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Rathnayake told Parliament.
He stated the figure covers the 312.57 km national expressway network, responding to a question by MP Ravi Karunanayake.
Revenue from expressways in 2025 totalled Rs. 16,330.14mn, according to the Minister.
The figures were presented for the Southern Expressway, Outer Circular Highway, Colombo–Katunayake Expressway and other major expressways.
