Elephant House Super Heroes Season 3 Crowns Sri Lanka’s Youth Champions at Grand Finale

After months of competition, creativity, and mentorship, Elephant House Super Heroes Season 3 came to a spectacular close at the Grand Finale held on 18th October 2025 at Stein Studios, which was telecasted LIVE. This impactful youth empowerment initiative backed by the  Ministry of Education, has once again spotlighted the courage, ideas, and talents of students across the island, redefining what it means to be a 21st-century changemaker.


This year, over 135  schools islandwide competed in three dynamic categories, Super Chef, Super Harvester, and Super Entrepreneur under the guidance of industry experts and mentors. The programme emphasized practical, real-world learning starting from concept phase to market commercialization.

  • Super Chef: Pallekanugala Kanishta Vidyalaya

  • Super Harvester: Bandaragama Central College

  • Super Entrepreneur: Thambuttegama Central College


Runner-Up Highlights

  • Super Chef – 1st Runner-Up: Denike School, Rikillagaskada

  • Super Chef – 2nd Runner-Up: Gnanodaya Central College, Divulapitiya

  • Super Harvester – 1st Runner-Up: Mahabellankadawala Maha Vidyalaya

  • Super Harvester – 2nd Runner-Up: Buonavista College, Galle

  • Super Entrepreneur – 1st Runner-Up:, Kurunegala Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya

  • Super Entrepreneur – 2nd Runner-Up: Vidyaloka Central College, Balangoda


Special recognition also went to Denike School, who secured the Most Popular Concept award, reflecting both public support and originality.


This year’s programme spanned preliminary rounds from May, with semi-finals held between 27th September and 11th October, culminating in the grand finale on 18th October. Students took part in hands-on workshops, product pitching sessions, and visits to Cinnamon Hospitality Academy, John Keells Research Labs and Ceylon Cold Stores Head Office, documenting their journeys through digital journals designed to nurture reflection and continuous growth.


Sathish Rathnayake, Head of Category - Frozen Confectionery and Senior Vice President – John Keells Group, sharing his thoughts on the impact of the initiative said, “Elephant House Super Heroes Season 3 has become a powerful national platform for transformation. What we witnessed this year was not just enthusiasm but deep conviction from young individuals who dared to innovate and lead. This programme reflects our belief that education must go beyond the classroom enabling real-life skills, personal discovery, and purpose-driven growth. By nurturing this potential across the country, we are not just building future professionals, we are building future leaders.”

As Season 3 comes to a close, Elephant House Super Heroes continues to stand as a transformative platform cultivating purpose, leadership, and skill among the next generation. The journey doesn’t end here. With each season, the movement grows stronger, nurturing a youth-led future for Sri Lanka grounded in innovation, bold thinking, and national pride.
