Dongcheng hand tools enters Sri Lankan market through DBL

Dongcheng has expanded its footprint in Sri Lanka with the launch of its hand tools range, broadening its product portfolio beyond power tools and targeting the country’s construction, hardware and professional trades sectors. The range was officially unveiled recently in Colombo in conjunction with the Constructor 2026 Exhibition by local distributor Deen Brothers Imports (DBL) Private Limited. Former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya attended the launch as Chief Guest, alongside representatives from the construction, hardware and machinery industries, dealers, business partners and other stakeholders. The new range is aimed at professional tradespeople and construction industry users, with products focused on quality, efficiency, reliability and practical performance. The introduction of hand tools complements Dongcheng’s existing power tools portfolio and is expected to strengthen the brand’s presence in Sri Lanka’s tools market.The launch also marks a further expansion of DBL’s product offering as the company continues to strengthen its position in Sri Lanka’s machinery and tools sector.

Established in 1940 as a small business in Matara, DBL has grown significantly under the leadership of Managing Director M.N.M. Najeeb Deen.
