CEAT Kelani Holdings shared the overall Gold award for Best Management Practices and was honoured with four other significant accolades at the 2026 edition of the Best Management Practices Company Awards of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka), to be adjudged the country’s best-managed company.

The company also received the Sector Award as Winner in the Manufacturing (Tyre & Rubber) category, was ranked among the ‘Forty Outstanding Companies’ at the awards, and was presented a Best Management Practices Excellence Award. In addition, CEAT Kelani Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr Ravi Dadlani was recognised with the Leadership Excellence award, underscoring the strength of the company’s leadership and strategic direction.

The CPM Best Management Practices Company Awards recognise public and private sector organisations for excellence in management across leadership, policies and strategies, people management, partnerships and resources, processes and performance, based on the year under review.

Commenting on the awards, CEAT Kelani Managing Director & CEO Mr Ravi Dadlani said: “To be named the best-managed company in Sri Lanka is an extraordinary honour as well as a reward for years of hard work in times of challenge. This recognition reflects the company’s sustained focus on embedding best-in-class management practices across its operations with the involvement of employees at every level.”

He noted that the QBM philosophy has enabled CEAT Kelani to transition towards a more customer-centric organisation while delivering strong operational and financial performance. He added that continuous improvement, supported by digital transformation and employee engagement, remains central to the company’s strategy.

CEAT Kelani has consistently been recognised among Sri Lanka’s best-managed companies by CPM, reflecting the depth and continuity of its management practices.

CEAT Kelani’s recognition this year is anchored in its Quality-Based Management (QBM) philosophy, which places customer satisfaction at the centre of its operations while aligning quality, processes and people with overarching business objectives. A key initiative presented for the awards was the company’s transformation of its customer claim settlement process, enabling inspection within a single day.

This was achieved through a structured Quality Improvement Project (QIP) involving cross-functional teams from Technical Services, Supply Chain and Distribution, and included digital integration and process improvement. CEAT Kelani’s streamlined and transparent claim settlement process has further strengthened customer confidence and dealer trust, supporting volume growth particularly in the Truck and Light Truck segments. The company has also reinforced a culture of total employee involvement by formally recognising the contributions of cross-functional teams driving these improvements.

Ranked Sri Lanka’s most valuable tyre brand by Brand Finance and named the ‘Most Loved Tyre Brand’ in Sri Lanka in 2025 by LMD, CEAT sells more than 1.2 million tyres annually. CEAT Kelani’s rise to market leadership is driven by sustained investments in technology, innovation and capacity, with manufacturing operations spanning tyres for passenger cars, vans, SUVs, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, three-wheelers and agricultural vehicles.

Besides meeting around half of Sri Lanka’s automotive tyre demand, CEAT Kelani exports approximately 20 per cent of its output to 16 countries. The company has invested more than Rs. 8.5 billion in Sri Lanka over the past decade and recently committed a further Rs. 4.5 billion, reinforcing its role as a key contributor to the national economy and a trusted partner to the transport sector.
