Arimac CEO named Sri Lanka’s AI Leader of the Year

Arimac Co-Founder and CEO Chamira Jayasinghe has been named Sri Lanka’s AI Leader of the Year at the National AI Awards 2026, as the digital transformation company secured three national honours.

Jayasinghe received the National AI Leadership Excellence Award for his contribution to AI-led innovation and technology transformation in Sri Lanka. Arimac also won Gold for Best AI Solution in Banking, Finance and Insurance and Silver for Best Sinhala/Tamil AI and Localisation Innovation.

The awards recognise Arimac’s growing application of AI across commercial sectors. Its deployments have reduced cost-to-serve per enquiry by 32%, cut lead response times from four hours to three minutes and supported the deployment of more than 100 AI agents across selected international operations. Founded in 2011, Arimac has delivered more than 850 solutions for 112 clients across 20 industries, reaching over 330 million users globally. The National AI Awards, presented by the Ministry of Digital Economy and SLT-Mobitel, formed part of AI Week 2026.
