AIA Insurance honours its brightest stars at the glamorous Sales Convention 2025

AIA Sri Lanka recently hosted its annual Sales Convention at the Shangri-La, Colombo. Under the theme ‘Galaxy of Greatness,’ the event unfolded as a spectacular showcase of achievement, elegance, and inspiration. The celestial-themed event set the stage for an unforgettable evening that honoured the company’s top-performing Wealth Planners and leaders from across the island.

Attended by AIA Sri Lanka Director/Chief Executive Officer, Chathuri Munaweera, Chief Agency Officer, Chanaka Liyanage, the Executive Committee, and senior management, the convention brought together elite performers in an atmosphere of motivation and prestige in order to celebrate the stars of AIA Sri Lanka; those whose dedication and excellence have propelled the company forward.

This year, Sanjeewani Somarathna from Kandy ADO was honoured as the Best Wealth Planner for the fifth consecutive year, with P. A. Ruvini Chaturangika (Monaragala) and K. Piran (Kilinochchi) securing the First and Second Runners-Up positions, respectively.

Among the top honours, S. M. Upul Indika Samaranayaka from Monaragala DU was named Best Wealth Planners' Manager 2024, with M. D. Thuraj Aponso from Colombo Region 5 and P. Rajika from Kilinochchi DU securing the first and second runner-up positions respectively. In the Best Cluster WPM category, K. W. Dassanayaka from Panadura City - ADO took the top spot, followed by P. D. C. Lakchan from Colombo 07 – ADO, W. M. C. Alahakoon from Kandy DU. and M. C. H. Sirimal Peiris from Colombo Main 3 - 3 Tier was awarded Best 3 Tier Manager 2024, with R. G. L. Sunimal Rajapaksa from Colombo Region 7 and K. W. Lanet Jefrinton from Colombo Region 15 recognised as runners-up.

The Best ADO Manager award went to G. H. C. Dileepa Amendra, who led both the Tissamaharama and Matara ADOs, while P. C. Deshi from Panadura City - ADO and Y. G. G. B. Yatigamage from Mawanella - ADO were honored as runners-up. In the category of Best Distribution Unit Head, Indunil Amarasinghe from Colombo Metro and Colombo Region 2 was celebrated for her strategic leadership, with Dhanushka Dissanayake from Monaragala DU and Hashila Rishan from Matara DU earning runner-up accolades.

The AIA Sales Convention 2025, a night filled with captivating entertainment and moments of celebration that reflected the spirit of AIA’s overarching mission to help Sri Lankans live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives, was a powerful reminder of the collective strength and dedication of AIA’s team and a glamorous tribute to ambition, excellence, and greatness.
